Every year the Tyler County Chamber of Commerce recognizes a teacher from each district in the county at the annual Chamber of Commerce banquet. At Woodville I.S.D. a “Teacher of the Year” is chosen at each campus and a district winner is selected from these nominees. Woodville I. S. D. is filled with amazing teachers that are dedicated to inspiring their students to learn, respected by parents, and admired by colleagues. The fact that we have many high quality teachers that deserve to be recognized makes choosing the district and campus winners exceptionally hard. With that being said, this year’s winners are educators that go above and beyond what is expected, they set the standard just a little higher.   This year's winners are Kim Smith - High School, Kara Harrington - Middle School, Amy Shumake - Intermediate  School and pictured above with Woodville I.S.D.'s Board President, Jimmy Tucker, is Sandra Brown - Elementary School and District "Teacher of the Year".
