Woodville High School Mission Statement Our mission at Woodville High School, in partnership with parents and community, is to provide all students equal educational opportunities, and to empower them to be responsible citizens by instilling a sense of accountability, through teaching the values of self-worth, responsible citizenship, and respect for authority. |
WELCOME TO WOODVILLE HIGH SCHOOL Home of our Fighting Eagles! Welcome to the FINEST school in Tyler County. Woodville High School is nested in the Big Thicket in South East Texas. We are a 2A district with approximately 365 students. We offer several vocational as well as college course programs. Students who successfully complete the entire college course can receive up to 15 college hours during their senior year. We also offer a variety of vocational programs such as Health Services Technology (Nursing), Family and Consumer Science, Auto Body Technology, and Construction. As stated on this page our mission is to provide students with an opportunity learn the value of accountability, self-worth, responsible citizenship and respect for authority. This can only be achieved with the support of the community, parents, and an excellent faculty and staff. Woodville provides for all three and consequently, I feel we have the finest students in the county. Everyday students are reminded that they must be willing to look within themselves in order to examine the ideas of responsibility, respect, sacrifice, and determination. These ideas are the beginning of a well examined life. We go further to admonish students to take responsibility for their own actions, to respect those in authority over them, to make the sacrifices necessary to do the right thing for their family, friends, community, and themselves. Finally, be determined to see anything they undertake through to the end. Albert Schweitzer said, "I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve." As faculty, staff, and students know, I have an open door policy. If you feel that we could be doing something better or to make us aware of any issue that may arise that could effect our students, please feel free to stop by, e-mail, or call us any time. Sincerely, John R. Clements, Principal Woodville High School
