Congratulations to our AMAZING Lady Eagles Basketball team! They will be playing in the State Tournament in the Alamodome in San Antonio on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 3:00 pm. We are so very proud of them and their coaches and look forward to cheering them on at the state championship finals.
School is being cancelled Thursday so that all staff, students, and families who want to attend have the opportunity to do so. While we realize not everyone can go, there are so many that are attending it will significantly impact our ability to effectively transport students and hold classes that day. We feel it is important that we come together as a school and community to support our students as they perform at the state level.
We will have school on Friday as usual. Due to the 3:00 pm game time on Thursday, we can travel to and from San Antonio within reasonable time periods. (It is about a 4 1/2 hour drive.) There will be no excused absences for students or staff to attend the tournament on Friday other than those who are directly involved (players, coaches, family members, etc.)
If the girls win on Thursday, they will play on Saturday at 10:00 am at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
We will have tickets for the games available at central office later this week. We will share information on costs and availability as soon as possible.
