Our recent excessive East Texas heat has brought concern to parents and community members alike. We want to assure everyone that our students' safety is our first priority and we are adhering to all UIL safety guidelines. We also wanted to share a little information on the new the New UIL Wet Bulb Guidelines.
Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) is very different from air temperature and is only one factor in the measurement of WBGT. We have a WBGT monitoring system in place that is used to determine practice protocol on a daily basis. Please see the UIL provided illustration for complete details.
