Good Evening Wheat Elementary Parents, This is a reminder that tomorrow, Monday, August 19th, parents will need to use the car rider line to drop off students. Our goal is to start morning routines. We will have our Fast Pass Drawing Tuesday morning. Fast Pass allows you to bypass the car rider line. $5 for 1 ticket or 5 tickets for $20. Mrs. Greaff will do the drawing live Tuesday morning. We had a great first two days! This is going to be a great year!!

Wheat Elementary Summer Reading Challenge/Contest is off to a GREAT start! Several students have already logged on and started reading. The official contest begins Monday. But, go ahead and get logged on, complete interest survey , and complete the reading level quiz (Lexile Level) so students are ready for the competition.

Wheat Elementary Parents Wheat Elementary is having a Summer Reading Challenge Contest from July 7th- August 18th. Please check out Wheat Elementary Facebook page or our website for more details. All reading must be completed using the MyON website or app.

Reading Summer Challenge July 7th - August 18th Reading minutes must be completed using the MyON website or app. Students can download 20 books at one time for use when internet is not available. Have your child log in before the 7th so they will be ready for the challenge!

WISD DISTRICT SHOWCASE -All campuses will be represented! Come join us tomorrow evening to check out all the exciting events that have transpired in classrooms at Wheat this year! A few of our kiddos from each grade level are looking forward to putting on a great performance, and our teachers have put together some great things for you to see! #proudtobeaneagle

It’s a busy week at Wheat Elementary! Please check your child’s backpack for important information. Tuesday- 7:20 am Muffins with Ma’ams Wednesday- Spelling Bee for the top 5 in each class (Invitations were sent home.) Thursday- District Showcase 6-8 at Summit Friday-Field Day 12-2:45

Wheat parents Just a reminder - tomorrow is Awards Day for 1st and 2nd graders in the Gym. 1st grade is at Noon. 2nd grade is at 1pm. Also tomorrow evening is our fundraiser dance Ties and Tiaras (Mother/Son or Father/Daughter Dance). 6:30-8 pm in the cafeteria. $15 (1 Adult & 1 student PreK-2nd) $5 each additional student. Photo Booth, Dancing, refreshments, games We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up.

This is a message from the Woodville Independent School District. Due to potentially hazardous road conditions the district will be delaying school start time for one hour. Bus routes and drop off times will be scheduled one hour later today. If conditions change updates will posted. Also, due to flooding in Beaumont, the 2nd grade incentive is cancelled. We will reschedule. Thank You

Wheat Parents Around 1:25 today, there was an accidental alarm that notified the Sheriff's office. This was a FALSE alarm. I would like to thank the Police Dept. and Sheriff Office officers for their quick response. Again, this was false alarm.
