Effective immediately, the Woodville ISD track will be closed to the public during the hours of 6:00 am and 4:30 pm on school days. As many of our students move to and from buildings for various classes and activities throughout the school day (which includes before and after school practices), their safety and security is our top priority. The public is welcome to use the track at any other time, including weekends and school holidays.

Please see attached information regarding student meals for 2025-2026.

Here at WISD we are so blessed to be a part of a community that cares! Earlier this week, Everlasting Changes (a nonprofit focused on making a difference) along with Entergy, presented staff members with backpacks full of school supplies for our students. Thank you for helping us meet the needs of our kiddos! It really does take a village!!!

See attached community service announcement.

As we move toward the 2025-2026 school year, there are lots of exciting changes in store for our younger students! When we start the new school year, the Wheat Elementary School and Woodville Intermediate School will be the new combined Woodville Elementary Campus - starting the year in our brand new facility. Therefore, when registering, all PreK through 5th graders are considered elementary students.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Woodville ISD Food Services will be transitioning to a new online portal for meal payments. "LUNCH MONEY NOW" will close on June 30th and be replaced with a much more user friendly platform. Everything will remain the same, any balance will move over, there will just be a new login portal on the website.

Woodville ISD is aware of the incident that occurred during a pre-athletics class at Woodville Middle School on Monday, May 19. We are equally as concerned with the reports as the community and are taking the matter seriously, as our students’ well-being and safety is a top priority.
The Superintendent and Campus Principal have launched a full internal review and are cooperating with local law enforcement. Currently, we are aware that students participated in an exercise program promoted on social media that involves bear crawling on the track. Due to the temperature of the track, the exercise resulted in some students reporting injuries. While federal privacy laws (FERPA) limit what we can share, we want to be clear: the employee actions described by the media do not reflect the values or expectations of Woodville ISD. The District is addressing all personnel matters in line with district policy, and can confirm the staff member involved has been removed from campus and will not be returning to the District.
District and campus leadership are in direct contact with affected families and remain committed to transparency, accountability, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment for all students.

We are so proud of Carmelo Castle, he is the first student to graduate from the plumbing program at Woodville High School.
He is also the first student in the state of Texas to complete the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners approved course.
He is shown here after being accepted into the Plumbers Local 68 in Beaumont, he has been given second year credit which means he will be earning second year wages. THIS IS FANTASTIC!

Woodville ISD Honored as Capturing Kids' Hearts® National Showcase School District

Woodville ISD will end the school year a little early! The last day of school for students will be Thursday, May 22 with an early release at 2 pm.
Friday, May 23 will be a teacher workday, this is made possible by "in case of" minutes added to the calendar to allow for school delays or closures that we did not have to use.

To finish off our week of appreciation, we want to give a big shout out to those that play a role in school leadership. Our superintendent, assistant superintendents, principals, assistant principals, counselors, instructional coaches and department heads; their dedication, vision and commitment to our staff and students is second to none.
They inspire, encourage and make our district a better place!!!
Thank you to our leadership team at WISD, you are appreciated!!!!

Today we want to give a shout out to our incredible transportation, maintenance and custodial staff! They are the unsung heroes of the district.
Our transportation department is responsible for getting our students safely to and from school everyday, on time! They are in charge of transportation for all extracurricular outings and field trips. We would literally be "nowhere" without them!
Our maintenance and custodial departments work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our spaces clean, safe and welcoming.
Thank you for everything you do, we appreciate all your hard work and dedication!

As we continue with Employee Appreciation Week, we honor today our education support staff. Paraprofessionals, registrars, secretaries, nurses, diagnosticians, speech language therapists, librarians, media, technology, business office personnel, school resource officers and more; there are so many people outside of the classroom that work alongside our teachers to contribute to the success of our students!!!
Thank you to everyone for the part you play!

🎉 Shoutout to Public School Teachers! 🎉 They don’t just teach—they inspire!
🔥 Every single lesson is a spark that lights up young minds. Here’s just a fraction of what they do ❤️:
📚 Plan lessons that keep students on their toes.
👩🏫 Adapt to every class size like a pro.
📝 Grade countless assignments and exams.
💡 Assess student strengths and weaknesses to help them grow.
🌍 Shape the future, one student at a time.
🙌💖 Thank you for making a difference!

Today we celebrate our Teachers!!!! It takes patience, endurance and talent to be a teacher and ours do it with enthusiasm and passion! They put in extra hours, provide moral support, inspire and guide our students to be the best version of themselves in and out of the classroom.
We want you to know that your hard work does not go unnoticed! Thank you Woodville ISD teachers, we love you!
