School administration has met with county officials and determined that we will continue with a normal school day. There will be no early release. Official assessments indicate that our immediate area is not expected to see the same impacts as areas to the south and southwest.
Please be advised that false information regarding our school closing is currently circulating on social media. We are actively communicating with other schools in our district and the Tyler County Emergency Management office. At this time, there are no changes to our normal school schedule for today, September 1st. Should any changes become necessary, we will provide immediate updates. All official communications will be released exclusively through our district's social media platforms and our emergency alert system.
We are actively monitoring the local weather forecast for possible heavy rainfall. The prediction seems that the greatest potential for excessive rainfall remains focused to our south, but we are keeping a close eye on the weather trends.

The Woodville ISD Board of Trustees were thrilled to recognize WHS students who qualified as Academic Allstate in a spring sport. These students not only excel as athletes, they shine in the classroom. Congratulations!

Community Service Announcement
Notice is hereby given that the Woodville ISD track, football field and stadium area will be closed to all public access effective immediately. This closure is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance and repairs. The area will remain closed until further notice.
We just wanted to share this once more, this will be the plan for this evening's ceremony. Please come prepared, bring a towel or blanket to sit on, the stadium seats may be wet!
We are excited to confirm that our graduation ceremony will proceed at the stadium as originally planned. Based on the most recent forecasts, conditions seem to be favorable for our timeline that evening. Please note that we will continue to monitor the weather. Should unsafe conditions force a last-minute change, full contingency plans are in place to ensure a safe celebration. Any changes will be communicated immediately via social media and our website. Thank you for your flexibility as we aim to include and accommodate everyone who wishes to celebrate and honor our seniors.
As we close out the 2025-2026 school year, we continue to celebrate accomplishments and milestones! If the weather remains clear, the ceremony will proceed as originally planned at Eagle Stadium at 8:00 PM, and no guest tickets will be required for entry.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will move indoors to the school auditorium at the Summit, at 8:00 PM. Because of indoor seating capacities, each graduate will be issued 9 tickets for their guests to attend inside the auditorium. To ensure that everyone can still celebrate together, any additional guests without a ticket are warmly invited to join us in the gymnasium. This space will feature a live stream of the entire ceremony on a large screen so no one misses a moment.
We will make a final decision as soon as the weather timeline becomes clearer and will notify everyone as soon as possible. Thank you for your flexibility and support as we prepare to celebrate our graduates!
