🍎📚 Research shows students with access to healthy school meals have better attendance, higher test scores, and stronger focus in class. Thank you to our child nutrition team for making sure every student is ready to learn! #CelebrateTexasPublicSchools

The Woodville ISD Board of Trustees said farewell last night to one of the best! John Wilson has served Woodville schools as trustee for the past 9 years, the last several as Vice-President. The contributions he made through hard work, encouragement, attention to detail and positive attitude will be felt by the District for many years to come.; he served with integrity, enthusiasm and compassion.
John will be greatly missed by his fellow trustees and the District. Thank you John for your invaluable service and leadership while serving Woodville ISD.

Lot's of things happening in the Woodville ISD Nutrition Department over the next few weeks.
In addition to participating in the #FarmFreshChallenge,
next week we celebrate National School Lunch Week, October 13-17, 2025.
This year, the Texas Department of
Agriculture and your child’s school nutrition
team are using the theme “Texas Taste Tour:
Your School Lunch Passport” to showcase
nutritious meals served at school and healthy
foods from Texas. Celebrating National School
Lunch Week can introduce students to the
many ways balanced, nutritious school meals
help fuel success.
School nutrition professionals work hard to
serve lunches that keep students ready to
embark on academic adventures throughout
the school day. Come along for the journey
by encouraging your child to eat lunch in the
cafeteria this week.

Effective immediately, the Woodville ISD track will be closed to the public during the hours of 6:00 am and 4:30 pm on school days. As many of our students move to and from buildings for various classes and activities throughout the school day (which includes before and after school practices), their safety and security is our top priority. The public is welcome to use the track at any other time, including weekends and school holidays.

Please see attached information regarding student meals for 2025-2026.

Here at WISD we are so blessed to be a part of a community that cares! Earlier this week, Everlasting Changes (a nonprofit focused on making a difference) along with Entergy, presented staff members with backpacks full of school supplies for our students. Thank you for helping us meet the needs of our kiddos! It really does take a village!!!
