
Carrington Merendes, Garrett Castillo and Kesean Paire participated in a National Champion ring ceremony on September 18, 2018. These boys were part of the National Champion Wheelchair Basketball team in April and National Champion Softball team over the summer. Congratulations to the Woodville Connection!


Balfour will be on campus to take orders for class rings on Wednesday, September 19th during both lunches (12:00-2:00) in Room 24. A $50.00 deposit is required to order a class ring. See Mrs. Cooley if you have any questions.

We will hold our Title I Meeting and Open House on Thursday, September 20th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. The meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the high school library and then we will distribute progress reports. Afterward, we will encourage parents to visit with their child's teachers.


Week: September 17-21
Our first ever Student of the Week for the Week of September 17-21, 2018 is Junior Raymond Rigsby. Raymond has an excellent attitude and has gone above and beyond in class. He completes his work on time and is always willing to help those who might need it. Raymond often responds during class discussions and always has the best manners. Raymond was nominated by Teacher Janay Wigley. We are so proud to honor Raymond for being such a great student & a leader on our campus!


Information About Our WHS Student of the Week:
Woodville High School will start a new tradition this year of recognizing a deserving student each week. These students can be any grade Freshman through Seniors. They have been nominated by Faculty and Staff and have been voted on by a Committee of Teachers...Student of the Week Committee Members are: Kerri Reagan, Earl Bryan, Cindi Cooley, Kim Smith, Andrea Wilson & Staci Kircheiner. Qualifications are Attitude, Character, Respect, Work Ethic, Excellence & Eagle Pride. We are honored to recognize these deserving students each week!

Students in the Principles of Business class learn the advantages and disadvantages of sole proprietorship, partnerships, and corporations while trying to build toothpick and marshmallow structures.

Attention Senior Parents! Mrs. Cooley will be hosting a Senior Parent informational meeting Monday, September 17th at 5:30 pm in the WHS Library. She will be sharing information about upcoming events, graduation, college planning, financial aid, etc.

Attention, Juniors! Balfour will be presenting information about ordering class rings in the cafeteria at 8:00 am on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. See Mrs. Cooley if you have questions.

Lady Eagles with the win!!
The girls battled at home against a very competitive 4A LCM Lady Bears. We fought back from a 6 point deficit in the 5th game to win by 2 (17-15). The girls showed grit and determination and pushed through exhaustion to finish the game with a win. Congratulations to the Lady Eagles on the exciting game last night. Home game on Friday against Kelly, varsity starting at 4:30 with JV and 9th to follow.

High School Arrival Schedule
All students should report to school at 7:50am August 16, 17 and 20.
All students will report to first period at that time.
Beginning August 21, only bus riders and students needing an early drop off will report at 7:50am to their assigned zero period.
All other students should report to their regular first period class at 8:20.

Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, Woodville ISD will require that students only use clear or mesh backpacks. This policy will be enforced district wide, grades pre-K through 12th. The clear or mesh backpack policy only pertains to the backpack itself. Contents inside the backpack such as pencil boxes, notebooks, glasses cases, and pouches for makeup or other personal belongings are still permitted.
