Woodville Independent School District recently became aware of allegations involving inappropriate physical conduct by a paraprofessional toward a student. Upon learning of the report on February 10, the District immediately notified the appropriate authorities and initiated its established reporting procedures. As of February 11, the individual was no longer employed by the District. The parents of the students directly involved were promptly notified.
This week, additional information regarding a separate incident involving the same former employee came to light. That information was immediately reported to Child Protective Services, law enforcement, and the appropriate state authorities, and the District continues to cooperate fully with those agencies in their ongoing investigation and anticipated prosecution.
Because this matter involves personnel and student confidentiality protections, the District cannot comment further on specific details. However, Woodville ISD takes all allegations involving student safety seriously and acts promptly when concerns are reported. The District remains committed to maintaining a safe learning environment for all students and appreciates the community’s cooperation as the appropriate authorities conduct their investigation.

Due to an overwhelming request from the public, Woodville ISD will be hosting one more opportunity to shop the used equipment, furniture and fixture sale at the old elementary campus. Thursday, February 12th, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m., the campus will be open and staff will be available to assist with purchases. THIS WILL BE THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY TO SHOP! Woodville ISD will return to a regular school schedule tomorrow, January 27th. Campuses will open and buses will run at their normal time. Our facilities are ready and all bus routes have been checked for safe passage. We will see everyone in the morning!
Out of an abundance of caution for the safety our students and staff, Woodville ISD is canceling classes for Monday, 1-26-2026 and monitoring weather conditions for Tuesday. Any necessary updates or additional information will be posted to the district website, social media and our emergency alert system.

Woodville ISD is currently monitoring weather conditions for potential impacts on school schedules. The district coordinates with local Emergency Management personnel and area superintendents to evaluate conditions; decisions are based on road conditions (ice/snow/sleet) or utility outages (power/heat/water) rather than temperature alone. The district will announce any changes to school hours for Monday (delays or cancellations) by 6:00 PM Sunday evening via: Woodville ISD's website, Facebook page and our Emergency Notification System.
