
Our Employee of the Month for October is Earl Bryan!
Mr. Bryan does some amazing labs, projects and so many hands-on activities that not only help his students learn but also gets them excited about learning! He is an asset to this campus with his drive for teaching and awesome personality! Mr. Bryan prepares in advance and plans interactive lessons making teaching and learning fun. Mr. Bryan is always helping others, students and teachers, and is always available for students who need extra help.

WHS is proud to honor Freshman Lebron Miller as our Student of the Week this week! Lebron is an exceptional student and was nominated by 5 of his Freshman Teachers! That alone speaks volumes! Lebron's teachers say that he works harder than any other student, always gives his very best effort and has a polite and respectful attitude. They say that no matter what comes Lebron's way, that he faces it with greatness! We are very proud to honor Lebron and his hard work as our very deserving Student of the Week!
Lebron was nominated by teachers Lara Robinson, Krystal Hayes, Earl Bryan, Kelly Garza and Ryan Kelly.


3A DIV I Region 3 BI- DISTRICT PLAYOFF GAME: The 10-0 Woodville Eagles take on the Coldspring Trojans Thursday, Nov. 15 @ 7:30pm at Abe Martin Stadium in Lufkin

WHS Congressional Debate team Wyatt Bell, Penny Brackin, Drake Broom and Coach Cathy D'Entremont. Congratulations on making the finals in the Regional UIL Congressional Debate meet yesterday! Good luck to Penny and Drake as they prepare for the STATE meet!

Woodville FFA participated in the McGee Bend District Leadership Development Events! We ended the day with seventh place in FFA broadcasting, third place Senior FFA Creed Speaking, second place and advancing to the Area IX Contest was Agricultural Issues Forum, and lastly fourth place in Senior Agriculture Quiz with fifth high point individual overall!



Congratulations to Brook Cox on winning 2nd place and $50 in the Texas Association of Student Council District 17 Veterans Day poster contest! We are very proud of Brook and her representation of Woodville High School.

Parents & Students meet on the the track at the North end zone (concession stand) at 6:30pm.

This week WHS is proud to honor Junior Emily Mixon.
Emily is one of the kindest and hardworking students here at Woodville High School. Not only does she always work hard to succeed and accomplish her goals but always gives her very best effort in each of her classes. She shows her kindness by making sure others in her class are always included and goes the extra mile to be a model student for her teachers. Emily has been involved in Student Council, yearbook and plays on the Varsity Volleyball Team. Emily was nominated by not only one but two of our teachers here at WHS, Mr.Jay Herrington and Mr. Earl Bryan. WHS is proud to honor Emily and her awesome character as our Student of the Week!

Don’t forget to arrange for bread order pick up today at 2! These come frozen and there is no place to store them at the school. If they thaw, they have to be baked that day. Make sure you make arrangements for someone to come to the school to pick up your order at 2 tomorrow!

Student of the Week for October 29th-November 2, 2018
This week WHS is proud to Honor Junior Trevor Greer as our Student of the Week! Trevor is an ideal student in the classroom. He is well mannered, a hard worker and always comes to class with a positive attitude ready to work. Around campus Trevor is involved in National Honor Society, UIL Competition, is a Kicker for our Eagle Football Team and he also competes in Powerlifting and Tennis in the Spring. Trevor is an all around great student and we are proud to honor him!
Trevor was nominated by Teacher Andrea Wilson.

WHS 2nd period classes competed in a Red Ribbon Week door decorating contest! 1st- Mrs. White (Drugs are Wicked); 2nd-Ms. Wigley (Hang With Me, Be Drug Free); 3rd-Mr. Tapia (Drugs are Nacho Friends, We Are!)




The Leadership Council Committee would like to announce our Employee of the Month for September as Andrea Wilson!
Mrs. Wilson received 2 outstanding nominations who both praised her efforts and willingness to help. Ms. Wilson exemplifies a wonderful attitude that encourages others and has a positive outlook on every situation. Mrs. Wilson puts immense extra time into coordinating committee activities, training presentations, and serving as a mentor teacher. She spends a lot of her time doing things that go over and beyond her job expectations. I believe Mrs. Wilson has helped all of us through our technology trials and we appreciate her so much! Congratulations again to Andrea Wilson!
